Mike had just won his first ACM Steel Player of the Year Award in 2006, so he decided to record his first CD. It contains a great variety of songs including a Brad Paisley Medley that he had played on the original records. The Great Daryle Singletary is singing his version of “I Never Go Around Mirrors”; which is another record Mike played on. Also some great vocals from Mike’s wife, Joanie and his brother, Mark. Joanie Keller: Me and Dad
Joanie and her Dad, Bob Haberer, were inducted into the “NEBRASKA COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME” in 2009. Her Dad and their family band played country music for years all over the Midwestern region until Joanie signed with Broken Bow Records in Nashville. This project is something Joanie has wanted to do for years and what a great way to celebrate the “Hall Of Fame Induction” with her Dad. It’s ten of her favorite country standards and her vocals are FANTASTIC! Joanie’s Dad sings a beautiful duet with her and is featured on 2 other songs. Mike produced the CD and along with Joanie and Bob’s blessings, there is a TON OF STEEL on it along with some great pickin’ from the entire band! I am sure you will love this CD of wonderful TRADITIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC, packed with GREAT PLAYING from some of Nashville’s finest Musicians.

Joanie Keller: Sparks Are Gonna Fly
This is the first record Joanie recorded with BBR (Broken Bow Records). She was definitely carving her place in Nashville as a “real deal” country music artist. The record includes her single “Three Little Teardrops”. You might remember this video that was highly requested on CMT. Mike produced most of the record and the songs are all really good. So many of the Disc Jockeys raved over Joanie’s beautiful voice and how she has those inflections like Tammy Wynette. It’s a great CD.

Joanie recorded “I’m Not Lisa” at age 12 (Mike couldn’t get out of school that day!). To hear Joanie sing “Don’t Touch Me” is worth the price of the entire CD.
